Corn: May corn closed down 4 1/2 cents Friday, correcting from recent gains which saw a new contract high of $6.01 1/2, the first time corn has traded above $6 since 2013. Soybeans: May soybeans surged to finish 15 cents higher, buoyed by bullish veg oil markets and a near record March crush of 178 mb. Wheat: May Chicago wheat closed down 1 1/4 cents in slow trade, weakened by some beneficial rains falling in both hard red and soft red winter areas. Cotton: July cotton futures set back for the first time in four days, closing down 1.23 cents.
