Corn: May corn closed up 6 1/2 cents on Monday, close to the recent contract high on a surging basis level and concern of expanding dryness in Brazil. Soybeans: May soybeans soared to a 16 1/2-cent higher close on Monday, coming within 7 cents of the contract high. Wheat: May Chicago wheat closed down 1/4 cent, 8 cents below the daily high, pressured by some moisture relief in the Plains. Cotton: July cotton futures closed down 0.32 cents for the second straight lower close in quiet trade.
