Ag Commissioner Sues Biden Administration Claiming American Rescue Plan Discriminates Against White Farmers
The nearly $2 trillion stimulus known as The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is already facing a lawsuit over its provisions targeting farmers of color. Filed by Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller, he says the definition in the program fails to include "white ethnic groups that have unquestionably suffered" because of ethnicity.
In April, Phillips 66 announced it is securing feedstock for the company's growing portfolio of renewable fuels projects by investing in a new soybean-processing plant in Iowa. Love's also made a similar announcement with Cargill.
