Corn: July corn closed up the daily 25-cent limit on huge fund buying Friday as the drought in Brazil shows no sign of letting up. Soybeans: July soybeans closed 32 cents higher as funds returned to buy, reversing early losses, as tight stocks continue to propel this market to new heights. Wheat: July Chicago wheat closed up 5 3/4 cents, supported by the surging corn market and ongoing dryness in northern spring wheat areas. Cotton: July cotton futures stopped the two-day slide, closing up 1.54 cents to end the week, remaining in a solid uptrend. Live Cattle: June live cattle futures closed modestly higher, up $0.525, moving mostly sideways for the past week. (c) Copyright 2021 DTN, LLC. All rights reserved. |
