Corn Higher Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. CDT 5/11/2021 | 6:04 AM CDT DTN Staff Reporter
Corn: July corn closed down 20 1/2 cents on Monday as better-than-expected weekend rains and an old-crop cancellation of a previous sale by China pressured markets. Soybeans: July soybeans closed down only 2 1/4 cents, gaining some strength from soy meal, and despite veg oil weakness. Wheat: July Chicago wheat plunged on Monday, closing down 31 1/4 cents, pressured by heavy fund selling and good rains over the weekend in many wheat areas. Cotton: July cotton futures fell for the second consecutive day, closing down 1.19 cents and just above the 20-day average. Live Cattle: June live cattle futures closed higher for the fourth straight day and up $2.20, closing above the 100-day average. (c) Copyright 2021 DTN, LLC. All rights reserved. |
