Corn: July corn closed up 10 1/2 cents on Tuesday, gaining back half of Monday's losses, as more corn purchases by China and a bullish outlook for Wednesday's WASDE report brought buyers back in. Soybeans: July soybeans closed up 27 1/4 cents after setting a new contract high and reaching over $16 for the first time in 8 years. Wheat: July Chicago wheat closed 11 1/4 cents higher in sympathy with corn, and on expanding drought in the northern Plains, northwest and Canadian Prairies. Cotton: July cotton futures fell for the third consecutive day, closing down 0.72 cents and just above the 20-day moving average. Live Cattle: June live cattle futures closed higher for the fifth straight day, just below the 50-day moving average, and has rallied back $6/cwt in the past five days. (c) Copyright 2021 DTN, LLC.
