Corn Lower Thursday at 6:00 a.m. CDT 5/13/2021 | 5:59 AM CDT DTN Staff Reporter
Corn: July corn closed down 7 1/2 cents on Wednesday, reacting to a mildly bearish USDA and WASDE report which forecast a much higher 2021-22 carryout than expected. Soybeans: July soybeans closed up 27 3/4 cents to another new high and the highest price in 9 years as stocks for 2021-22 are projected to be nearly as tight as this year. Wheat: July Chicago wheat closed 12 cents lower on Wednesday as old crop wheat exports were lowered and production was higher. Cotton: July cotton futures reversed part of three consecutive lower closes, finishing up just 0.48 cents. Live Cattle: June live cattle futures closed slightly lower, down $0.025, after five straight higher closes, touching the 50-day average for the first time since mid-April.
